Monday Oct 28, 2024
Monday Oct 28, 2024
Dracula is a 1931 American pre-Code supernatural horror film directed and co-produced by Tod Browning from a screenplay written by Garrett Fort and starring Bela Lugosi in the title role.
Dracula was produced and distributed by Universal Pictures, and was the fourth film (after Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Phantom of the Opera) in what would turn out to be a very long and successful run of “monster” films.

Vampyr (1932) | Horror History Part II
Monday Oct 21, 2024
Monday Oct 21, 2024
Vampyr is a 1932 gothic horror film directed by Danish director Carl Theodor Dreyer. It was written by Dreyer and Christen Jul based on elements from Sheridan Le Fanu's 1872 collection of supernatural stories In a Glass Darkly - in particular, the short story titled Carmilla.
Vampyr represents significant milestones in film, horror, and vampire history, and some of what you learn in this episode may change the way you think about horror cinema... forever.
